The AAMUG (Alamo Area Multimedia User Group) Cold Fusion study group is just forming, March 2007.  Some members are already certified or experienced CF users, others are just starting.  So far, there are 6 members: Nikki, Debbie, Monte, Robert, Steve, and Darrell. Each have been granted blog priveleges here.

Purpose of this study group is currently aimed at certification of members.  Meetings are currently being scheduled, contact AAMUG.org for more information.

Travisty Studios, has donated server space for this study group. Members have access to the entire study group directory, and each of the member’s sub directories, to help make this study project more convenient.

Hi all,  There is another tool that can help you to prepare for the exam.  You can go to www.centrasoft.com and purchase the CFMX Exam Buster.  This application has been voted as the best CF Certification preparation application for years.  This application comes with 10 practice exams and a timer.  At the end of each exam, it would go through all the wrong answers that you have got and an explanation (if necessary).  I used it for my preparation too.  The questions in this application are slightly more difficult than those questions in the actual exam though.

Back in the days when ColdFusion 5 first came out, there was a book published by Sybex that was absolutely wonderful.  The name of that book was Programming ColdFusion (or something like that).  That book had helped me tremendously in picking up ColdFusion.  I assume that Sybex probably has a new edition of the book that talks about ColdFusion MX 7.  I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to learn ColdFusion.
